Product Description Dermatologists have been using Blue Light Therapy to reduce and eliminate acne breakouts for over 20 years. This technology is FDA Approved and has been proven effective in numerous clinical studies conducted by the American Academy of Dermatology and the British Academy of Dermatology. Blue Light Therapy is safe and effective, but it has never been affordable for the average acne sufferer.
Trophy Skin was formed by a group of professionals from the medical aesthetics industry, and the founders previously owned a medical spa that has performed thousands of laser and light based skin rejuvenation treatments. We set out to create a device that reduces and eliminates acne using clinically proven technology, while remaining affordable for people from all walks of life.
Trophy Skin uses a proprietary, custom-manufactured bulb that emits the exact spectrum of light needed to kill acne causing bacteria. Trophy Skin is used to prevent acne breakouts before they form, reduce the severity of acne after it has formed, and over time, permanently reduce or remove acne from your life. The light causes the bacteria to die, which in turn shrivels the pimples, pustules, and cysts on your skin. Consistent use of Blue Light Therapy also helps decrease the amount of oil and sebum on your skin, and has been shown to shrink the pore size in some individuals. Goggles included for your convenience.
A Note on Handheld Devices: Try holding your hand up to your face for 10, 15, or 20 minutes. It won't work, we promise. Handheld devices are usually under-powered as it is, since they run on batteries. Add to that the short amount of time you would actually hold it to your face, and you get a recipe for disappointment.

I think it works March 30, 2010 A. Shmahalo (CA, USA) I'm very skeptical about all the lights and lasers etc. The reason is, I had purchased a VERY expensive laser treatment package and all I got from it was more irritation and major brakeout. Than, I had a peel and that was a total disaster (a careless spa practitioner that got herself fired eventually).
After years of trying every treatment possible, I've realized that the less I do to my skin and the less I touch it, the cleaner it becomes. At this time I'm on regimen of PCA 13 soap, gel for brown spots and benzaclin when needed on spots. Than, Korres tinted moisturizer with spf 30, + light, and the whole thing is pretty natural and works wonders. Also, have to watch what I eat. My doc says it doesn't affect the skin, but I've noticed that sugar and fat food does.
Before that, the only thing my skin responded to well was yaz and Ortho-Tricyclen-Lo. Unfortunately the rest of my body had way too many side effects.
On day I got an email promo about Baby Quazar light and I was checking reviews of it on Amazon and found the light from Trophy Skin. I decided to try. The price was lower and the light looked larger.
I have adult acne. My acne isn't severe, but I was using the light ones a day for 30 minutes (for max results, I guess). After doing it for a month, I've noticed that my skin is not as oily as it used to be and it does make acne disappear when the skin gets dryer.
My light doesn't get hot as in other posting. After 30 minutes, I can touch the bulb with no burning effects. It would be mildly warm.
Pros: I like the larger head of the light. I was holding it about 4 inches away from the face and I think it covers the whole face pretty well. It also good for a back/chest treatment. I got myself into a habit of meditating under the light. Sometimes I would just take a nap. Couldn't do it with any handheld or desktop light. It's nice that I don't have to hold it. I have a red light that is small and have to hold it to an area of skin 10 minutes at the time and it takes forever. The good thing, I can watch TV while doing that.
Cons: Can't take the light with me on a road since it's just too big. Can't do much while doing this treatment. The eyes have to be closed, otherwise they get irritated. Can listen to music, sleep, listen to audio books... Adults, careful with under eye area, might get too dry. Better cover it with something besides the tiny goggles.
I had a minor miscommunication with the customer support while the light was still under the 30 day warranty and they took care of my issue really well. Hope they will provide the same wonderful support or at least some advise after the warranty is over.
I'm glad I gave it a try. I think it works. Just have to make time and use it regularly.
Does half the job... March 30, 2010 AHS (Scottsdale, AZ) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this product and was very excited about it, hoping it would help me with my adult acne but after using it every day for six weeks for 20-25 minute sessions I saw no difference. I understand the science behind it and think that it needs to be used in conjunction with a red light to help cell turnover and essentially add the "healing" aspect to the bacteria-killing aspect of the blue light. So basically, it does half the job...
In 5 days of use, it's actually worked! February 22, 2010 J. Bonita (N0where..) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've gotta tell you guys that this one is actually working for me. I got this a few days ago and have started using it since then. My acne is mild to moderate but I wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible so I used the product NOT as directed, LOL.. In every session I used it for more than an hour! And sometimes even more than that when I fell asleep under it. And that was everyday! Dunno if it's gonna do wrong on my skin because of that prolonged exposure to the light. I hope not. But otherwise it's working pretty well on me. My acnes have shrunk. In 24 hours I've also noticed some of my pimples have become pustulated, which basically means the bacteria have very well reacted to the light. Even my pores are tightening. And my skin- well, it's pretty much the same in texture but with a little bit of change. I can say it's slightly smoother. Well, we can't see the total result of it in just a few days of using it. So Imma come back here to post any updates.
PS:
Trophy Skin, you should give me some tokens for giving you a positive review on this one! (^_~)
Good Investment! January 10, 2010 myfoot101 (IA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have severe adult acne, and have purchased many products with no sign of satisfaction in sight. I decided to buy this product, and have been using it for about 7 weeks.
I won't lie. This has not totally cleared my acne but I think it has helped in minimizing those zits in much less time than usual.
I've also noticed that it tends to dry out my combination skin, but this might be only me.
I'm making this post as realistic as possible. So, for those of you who have a "true" acne issue, it may not be the end solution, but it can definitively accelerate the healing process.
good customer service December 28, 2009 sibylvain83 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought the light about 5 months ago. I used it for 2 weeks and then it broke. After using it for 2 weeks I did think my skin was smoother, but I got some bad pimples along my nose, I think from wearing the goggles. Anyway, once it broke I asked them to send me a new bulb and they did, for free. In the meantime I was out of the country and unable to use the light or see if the new bulb would work. When I came back to the states and tried the new bulb it didn't work. So the company agreed to send me a new device. Thus my 5 stars are based on customer service. So far I haven't had a chance to really use it, so I can't really judge how well it works. Unfortunately, or fortunately, my acne has cleared up since I bought it (thank you benzoyl peroxide and salon facials), but I plan to pass the device on to my sister and see if it works for her. Will update if I see results.
